About

Bobojon (Bob) Bobojonov

I've spent more than seven years in audit, on U.S. and international engagements — from banks, mining and telecom companies to grant-funded projects financed by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. I know what auditors test and what evidence they expect — so the books I keep and the files I prepare are built to pass, not just to close the month.

U.S. engagements
Senior-level audits for U.S. and international clients

Lead U.S. GAAP and IFRS audits and reviews for nonprofits and for-profit companies, including single audits under the Uniform Guidance. Run engagements from planning to report: risk assessment, internal control walkthroughs, analytical and substantive testing, SEFA and major program compliance testing, and drafting audit deliverables under AICPA standards. Work directly with client finance teams and engagement partners throughout.

Presented accounting deficiencies to client management and agreed on corrections.

2019 — 2021
Audit Specialist · Baker Tilly network firm

IFRS and local GAAP audits. Performed analytical and detailed testing of balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigated discrepancies, reviewed standard and non-standard journal entries, assessed internal controls, and prepared management letters with practical recommendations.

Common questions

Do you work only with nonprofits? No. I work with nonprofits, small and mid-size businesses and foreign-owned U.S. companies.
Are you a CPA firm? No. I don't perform audits, reviews or other attest services. My work is accounting, tax preparation and consulting that gets you ready for your auditor.
How do you handle independence?I check for conflicts before every engagement and don't take work where I have an existing audit relationship.
Do you work remotely?Yes. Secure file sharing and video calls during U.S. business hours.

Tell me what's on your plate. I'll tell you where I'd start.
